My Top 5 Rides at Magic Kingdom for Little Kiddos

Hello There! If you are reading this, you are probably planning a trip to Disney World with a little one! How exciting! I have been traveling to Disney World with little kids for awhile (actually, since I was 8 and we started taking my infant brother šŸ˜‰ ), and have the breakdown below on what my family’s favorite rides are for children younger than 7!

Ride 1: Peter Pan’s Flight

Peter Pan’s Flight is our ultimate go-to ride when I go to Disney- with kids or not! What little child wouldn’t like to fly in a ship over Neverland, watching Pan & Hook battle? I also get so excited each time the castmember sprinkles the “pixie dust” over the lap bar, making it magically go down!

Ride 2: Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Another great classic ride that gives just enough thrill for tween and teens, but not too much for younger children! After seeing these vibrant elephants soar above Magic Kingdom, there’s no way you skip out on riding one! Little kids will also enjoy being in charge of how high or low your Dumbo flies!

My parents enjoying a ride on Dumbo showing that even big kids love it!

Something else very fun about this attraction, the line queue is amazing! Probably the most fun line queue in all of Disney for little kids. There is a huge playground where the kids can play and a sitting area where the adults can sit and watch. Did I mention this was in-door with air conditioning? Definitely a win!

Ride 3: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

I must admit, I wasn’t in love with this ride at the beginning! Probably because I was a big Mr Toad’s Wild Ride fan, which this ride replaced. It grew on me though… hard! And I love it so much now. The whole ride is a story and ends perfectly with Pooh Bear devouring some scrumptious honey! Bonus: you get to ride around in honey pots! šŸ™‚

Ride 4: Under the Sea- Journey of The Little Mermaid

The amount of happiness on Cam’s face when we go through this ride is priceless! The whole thing is so much fun, especially since you get to experience “under the sea” in clamshells! Personally, “Kiss the Girl” is my favorite scene of this ride… makes sense since it’s also my favorite part in the movie ;).

There is also an Ariel Meet & Greet right next door to the ride where you can get your photo taken in her seashell throne! A big hit with the kids, as you can see my adorable little niece giving Ariel the biggest hug ever!

Ride 5: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

I saved Cam’s favorite for last… and funny enough, this was also my brother’s favorite when he was younger! How can you not love the everything from the line queue with an animatronic Buzz to the laser competition on this ride! The lasers are simple to use for younger kids and the ride is still just as fun even if you don’t make Galactic Hero Status. Don’t forget to smile for the photo they take at the very end šŸ˜‰
